Everything Revealed At Today’s Nintendo Indie World

Nintendo held its latest Indie World showcase earlier today showing off games coming in the next year. While Indie World showcases never bring quite the punch like Nintendo Directs, there was still a number of new announcements. Here is everything that was shown in the roughly 20 minute long presentation.

All of the Announcements from Indie World 12.15.2021

Sea of Stars – Holiday 2022

Indie World kicked off with a look at the latest game from The Messenger developer Sabotage Studio. This turn-based RPG takes place in the same universe as the previously mentioned game and said to serve as a prequel. I really dig the look of this game and felt it was the best title shown off. Sea of Stars comes to Switch and PC in Holiday 2022.

Aliisha: The Oblivion of Twin Goddesses – Spring 2022

We didn’t need to wait long for a co-op game to appear. Meet Lisha and Aisha, twin sisters with more to them than meets the eye. This puzzle adventure game sees you solve mysteries inside a deserted temple in solo or co-op mode. Each sister is controlled differently with Aisha using motion controls while Lisha uses touch controls. It comes to Switch in Spring 2022

Loco Motive – Summer 2022

A debut title can always be nerve-wracking, but to have it on a Nintendo Showcase may crank it up a notch. Robust Games, founded by brothers Adam & Joseph Riches, revealed its first title as a point-and-click comedy adventure. Loco Motive sees you solve a murder mystery using three characters who are all suspected of the killing. The players must find the answers to acquit them of the crime. Loco Motive comes to Switch and PC in Summer 2022.

After Love EP – Summer 2022

The next title we loved centers around just that, love. After Love EP comes from Indonesia developer Pikselnesia. This team that brought us Coffee Talk and What Comes After, looks to tug at your heart strings as the main character deals with death and how to love again after it. Said to mix in rhythm, slice-of-life, and adventure. After Love EP comes to PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Summer 2022.

Dungeon Munchies – Available Today

Quite the setting on this one if you ask me. Dungeon Munchies sees you hunt down monsters to slay, gather, cook, and then eat them! Doing so will give you a number of stat bonuses and abilities to help you dive further. Additionally, the game released on the Nintendo Switch today. You can read more about the game on its official website. Dungeon Munchies is currently available for Switch and PC

Figment 2: Creed Valley – February 2022, Demo Available Today

Bedtime Digital Games brings us another installment in the Figment series with Figment 2: Creed Valley. An action-adventure game set in the human mind, it mixes puzzles with musical boss fights. While the game won’t release until February 2022, you can play a demo today on both Switch and PC.

Let’s Play! Oink Games – Available Today

If you wanted more games to play with friends, Oink Games helped save the day. Let’s Play! Oink Games features a collection of different board games you can play locally or online. The first four are Deep sea Adventure, A Fake Artist Goes to New York, Startups, and Moon Adventures. More games to be added over time. It’s available now.

Endling: Extinction is Forever – Spring 2022

Easily the most heart breaking trailer shown comes from Spanish developers Herobeat Studios. Take control of the last mother fox on Earth trying to protect your three cubs in a world devastated by humans. The developers said they created the game to raise awareness about how the world may be if we don’t change our consumption habits. You must sneak, hunt, and protect your family to help them survive. Endling comes in Spring 2022 for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC.

OlliOlli World – February 8, 2022

We finally got a release date and a new look at the upcoming skateboarding adventure. This marks the third entry in the critically-acclaimed OlliOlli series from developer Roll7. The action-platformer will have you take on missions and challenges while you discover the mystical skate gods on your quest to Gnarvana. OlliOlli World comes to PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC on February 8, 2022.

River City Girls 2 – Summer 2022

Who doesn’t love a good beat ’em up? Back for seconds, The River City Girls hit the streets for this new adventure with new abilities, enemies, environments, and more. A nice and surprising addition is River City Girls 2 will feature online co-op. The new entry will release on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC in Summer 2022.

Sizzle Reel Time

Nintendo shifted into a sizzle reel for a bit with a number of titles being shown off. While we don’t have details on what each game brings, here is a list of those shown.

Omori – Spring 2022

The most intriguing game shown comes from Omocat. This critically acclaimed role-playing game released on Steam in December 2020 with rave reviews, currently at 98 percent positive reviews out of nearly 27,000. Travel back-and-forth between two worlds to uncover a forgotten past. The title does lean into heavy topics. So those diving in should be prepared. Omori launches on Switch in Spring 2022.
