Square Enix might be preparing for an announcement on Valkyrie Elysium soon. A demo for the upcoming action RPG was spotted by Twitter account PlayStation Game Size, an account dedicated to exactly what its name says.
The game releases on September 29 so releasing a demo soon would make sense. The game received some criticism from critics and gamers alike due to the outdated graphics shown off. A demo may help gamers warm up to it and the design change from the originals.
This would be the first main entry back into the Valkyrie universe since Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume in 2009. A mobile title called Valkyrie Anatomia released worldwide in 2019, but shut down just a year later.
Square Enix surprised gamers with the announcement at the March PlayStation State of Play. They doubled down on the surprise by later revealing Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, a PSP port of the original PS1 title, would be released on PS5 and PS4. Those who grab the deluxe edition of the game will get to play three days early.
